Mumbai wonder kid Arnold Misquitta is unequivocally the face of EDM in India. After a decade behind the decks this unassuming twenty four year old DJ turned producer in the span of twelve short months, has had eight releases including his smashing debut single ‘Am I’ on Carica Records (Russia) which went on to being remixed by Brute Force and 909 Connection, ‘The Stars are Shining/This Feeling on Segment Records (UK) and the highly acclaimed remix of After Meridian’s ‘New York Airport’ featuring Tiff Lacey on Solaris Recordings (UK). Firmly putting India on the world electronic dance map, Arnold’s musical journey is a book that refuses to remain dust laden on a shelf.
From a childhood spent playing the drums, guitar and keyboards to reaching young adulthood and graduating in sound engineering, Arnold’s love, curiosity and simultaneous fascination for music left him with no option but to hone his skills and immerse himself in his first love. The fruits of his labour indelibly stand out in the ubiquitous realm of dance music. Slamming Electro infused House to Intelligent Uplifting Trance; Arnold magically weaves powerful deep bass beats with memorable melodic interludes that have caught the attention of seasoned producers Matt Rowan, Judge Jules, Yves Eaux, Steve Mac, Flash Brothers, R-Tem and Sasha Le Monnier.
After Arnold’s singles made it into the Beatport and Audiojelly charts, he has been flooded with offers from various labels such as Kinky Malinki, Carillo Music and Digiprana. Arnold is currently signed to GF Recordings USA. Fast becoming a sought after producer, Arnold has remixed tracks for artists including heavyweights Matt Black, Eddie Amador, Dubfunk, Cbass, Mikobene, Jalebee Cartel, C-jay, Niki B & Christian E.F.F.E to name a few.
Admired for his innovative sets, Arnold’s versatility as a DJ sees him beautifully blend Deep Tech with Progressive House sounds. Having played at sell-out venues such as Elevate, Pasha, Taika, Club Cubana, Seijo and Galaxy, Arnold endeavours to bring quality music to the masses. His monthly interactive e-newsletter ‘Monthly Medication’ aims at educating and keeping fans and EDM lovers alike, up-to-date with the smoothest global beats around.
2009 looks to be a promising year for the young artist with no less than seventeen releases slated.
