5 AM, the brain child of the then engineering students Amrit, Sandeep and Prony, was born in the summer of 2005. Academics and procrastination forced the band to take a sabbatical from its music. With a new drummer Subbu and a new sound that had influences of the west and the east, the band took its rebirth, in the later part of 2006. The band would like to believe that its USP lies in the fact that there is a good blend of different musical influences from Indian carnatic classical to alternative to progressive rock/metal. With over 10 original songs, the band is currently working on new material that is heavily influenced by Progressive rock/metal and Indian carnatic music. The band is still looking for that perfect break and a platform to showcase its music. 5 AM composes music with no particular genre in mind and its music is like a buffet spread -
